Wedge Anchors

Wedge Anchors Manufacturer — Concrete Anchors, Expansion Bolts, Heavy Duty Anchor Bolts
We manufacture precision wedge anchors and concrete anchors (expansion bolts) for heavy duty fastening in concrete and masonry. Available in stainless steel, galvanized carbon steel and high strength alloy — OEM sizes and bulk supply.
Product Names & Description
EN: Wedge anchors (also called expansion anchors or expansion bolts) are mechanical anchors designed to provide secure fixation in concrete and solid masonry. Common variants include wedge anchor, sleeve anchor, drop in anchor, heavy duty anchor bolt and chemical anchor (epoxy anchor). Wedge anchors expand when the nut is tightened, creating wedge pressure against the base material for high pull out and shear resistance.
Typical classifications and anchor types include:
1.Wedge Anchor (Zinc / Hot?dip / Stainless) — mechanical expansion anchor for cracked and uncracked concrete.
2.Sleeve Anchor: expansion sleeve for medium duty applications in concrete, block and brick.
3.Drop In Anchor: flush expansion anchor installed into pre drilled holes (internal expansion).
4.Heavy Duty Anchor Bolt / Structural Anchor: for base plates and structural connections (high tensile & shear).
5.Chemical Anchor / Resin Anchor: adhesive anchoring for overhead or thin concrete.
6.Standards & references: ICC/ACI for anchor design, EN 1992 / EN 799 / ETA approvals (European Technical Assessment), ASTM F 3125 / A325 for high strength bolts — specify standard per project.
Materials & Surface Treatments
1.Stainless Steel (A2 / A4 / 316 / 316L): best for marine, chemical and hygienic environments (stainless steel wedge anchor).
2.Carbon Steel with Zinc Plating: economical option with corrosion protection for indoor and sheltered use.
3.Hot dip Galvanized Steel: higher corrosion resistance for outdoor installations.
4.High Strength Alloy Steel: quenched & tempered for structural anchors requiring high tensile capacity.
5.Surface finishes: passivation, electropolish (stainless), zinc plating, hot dip galvanizing, epoxy coating.
Key Features & Performance
1.High pull out resistance and shear capacity for structural fixing.
2.Easy installation — drill hole, insert anchor, tighten nut (for wedge & sleeve anchors).
3.Suitable for cracked and uncracked concrete when specified to ETA/ACI guidelines.
4.Corrosion resistant options for marine & chemical environments (stainless steel anchors).
5.Available in metric and imperial sizes, custom lengths and thread types (full/partial thread).
Typical Applications
Wedge anchors and concrete anchors are widely used in:
1.Structural steel base plates and column anchoring: heavy duty structural connections.
2.Machinery & equipment mounting: mounting machine bases, pumps, compressors and presses.
3.HVAC supports and cable tray installations: secure service runs and duct supports.
4.Facade anchors, railing & balustrade fixings: architectural anchors for exterior works.
5.Safety systems & seismic anchors: overhead anchors, fall protection anchors and seismic retrofit.
6.Concrete formwork & infrastructure: bridge bearings, road fixtures and civil engineering anchors.
Selection Guide & Engineering Notes
1.Determine base material (normal weight concrete, lightweight concrete, hollow block) and specify anchor type accordingly.
2.Specify required pull out and shear loads, embedment depth and spacing to calculate anchor capacity per ACI/EN formulas.
3.Corrosion class & environment: choose stainless steel (A4/316) for coastal/chemical exposure.
4.Follow manufacturer installation procedure: correct drill diameter, hole cleaning (blow & brush) and torque specification.
5.For critical structural anchors consider ETA/CE certified anchors or use mechanical anchors with load testing.
